Quitting nicotine product use can reduce your risk of cancer. For support with quitting, call 1-800-Quit-NOW (English) or 1-855-Déjelo-YA (Spanish)

The Nicotine Use Prevention and Control (NUPAC) program aims to reduce the impact of nicotine addiction and non-traditional tobacco use to protect the health of people and communities in New Mexico. From vapes and pouches to cigarettes, all nicotine-based products are highly addictive and harmful to health. NUPAC helps New Mexicans quit nicotine, raise awareness about its harms, and protect families, youth, and young adults from cigarette smoke and vape aerosol. NUPAC works with communities, schools, and organizations across the state to implement activities and services that decrease the harmful and addictive use of commercial tobacco, outside of its traditional, sacred or ceremonial purposes.
